Waiting for a message back from a person in Morganton NC. with a motorhome for sale. It is another ride of 2 hours or so. Next item to research is what good restaurants are there along our route so we can get dinner on the way back. I sent him the msg an hour or so ago and if he works I may not get and answer back until this evening, so in that case it may become TOMORROW'S adventure. I am also checking listings in NY. If nothing pops here we may wait and look around up there, although I would rather buy something that hasn't endured several years of NY winter weather storage. If I find something in that area I can have one of my sons check it out and drive it.

There was a segment on WKTV about a national shortage of trailers and motor homes. They interviewed Jan from Boulevard Trailers. I can't believe he is still working. We bought a pop-up from him in the early 80's. He says they can only order som. ething if it is pre-sold. One new unit on his lot ready for pick up and a few used units for sale. Enjoy the hunt.

Re: Clipper Fest. Piggy Pat's in Washington Mills has a large outdoor seating area with a roof. No pizza but very good pulled pork. No predicting what the rules will be this summer. I have had COVID and my shots and my last 2 tests were negative so I should be OK.

The last one I went to was in 2010.

It sounds good to me. Was 2010 the Lake Delta Clipperfest that Frank Corradino helped me organize. He actually paid to rent the pavilion and wouldn't let me pay him back.

We haven't seen Frank since we were there last. We haven't been up there the last two years. Bobbiez always had a cookout at her house in Marcy for us when we were in town and would invite Ralph and Betty as well as Frank. He had a leg amputated below the knee and was in a wheel chair for quite awhile, but the last I knew he was back on his feet and walking. One of his milestones was to be able to get down to the dock in his backyard on Lake Delta.
Barb isn't in Marcy anymore. She sold the house and moved in with her son after she had her stroke a couple years ago. I still am in touch with her occasionally and plan to see her when we come up. I would love to go to Piggy Pats and see everyone. I will get in touch with Frank and Barb Z. and see if they could come when the plans are complete.

We will be in the area from the 2nd to the morning of the 12th.We haven't been home the last two summers so our schedule will naturally focus on spending time with family. Kathy has 4 nieces and nephews scattered around the area as well as her 90 yr old aunt who spends the summer at a camp on Canadarago Lake as well as several lifelong friends she always spends time with. Of course there are the recreational trips to the casino, and a trip to the North country, and my personal top priority is to spend as much time as I can with my boys and my grandchildren. We are on the road and visiting friends and family most of every day we are around the area, usually ending the day with dinner with one of the many relatives or friends. I am excited at the prospect of seeing everyone of our Clipper's Corner family but to be perfectly honest I will probably only be able to spend an hour or two at such a gathering. It is hard to believe that some of us have been part of the group since 2008. Over the years I have always looked forward to at least having coffee at McDonald's with a couple of forum friends and always spend time with Ralph and his wife, and for several years running at a cookout with Bobbiez and Frank. I am extremely excited and grateful for a chance to see everyone again, and to meet members who weren't around for the first two gatherings. Kathy is quite shy and has always opted to spend the time with one of her friends or relatives while I participated in the forum gatherings. She says I am a social butterfly and can talk to anyone. She says I can strike up a conversation with just about anyone and just shakes her head and smiles when I get to gabbing with someone in a line at a restaurant or with a neighboring camper at a campground. She sometimes asks me what took so long when I go to the store. My answer? I ran into so and so and we got talking. The other day while stopped for gas I got chatting with someone on the opposite side of the pump island who was wearing a Navy Vietnam vet cap, and we chatted the entire time we pumped our gas while she chuckled to herself. Yup! I love to chat with folks, and I am sure that is evidenced by my rambling posts here at the corner. I am looking forward to seeing our old friends, and meeting new ones. I hope BHU is able to attend. The forum has gotten smaller over the years but I am glad it has survived so long and I look forward every day to getting on here and socializing with you all. Hope everyone is able to attend. We are hoping that many of our friends and family have been vaccinated so we can actually share a hug or a handshake. Social distancing is perfectly acceptable and 6 ft is much better than the 700+ miles that the pandemic has kept us apart in recent times, but the highlight of the day will be hugging family and spending time with friends.

An hour or two is very good and we are all thankful for that. I may be away from the first to the third or fourth, and I am sure that you will be busy on the fourth with family. A span of 10 days is enough time to work us all in. I do not know any of these new people...I dropped out as you know after the passing of Dave and Jon. Things here are much changed and modified. Blessings to all. Also, if Piggy Pat's doesn't work out consider the new Irish Cultural center on Varick and Columbia Street. They have an out door patio and also, once evening a week, Irish music sessions with local musicians.
