With the legalization of cannabis in NY state I suppose some folks may be anxious to give it a try. I was reading this morning that a favorite for those who smoke pot and get the munchies is macaroni and cheese with ketchup is a quick and favorite go-to meal. If you are among those who will partake and take advantage of the new law you might want to get to your favorite market and stock up on Kraft Dinner and a bottle or three of ketchup in order to get a head start on stocking up before it becomes the target of hoarders. Add it to your list along with a couple extra rolls of TP.

If you get the munchies and are into all that mac and cheese you might need more than a few rolls of TP. One hand washes the other so to speak.

I thought munchy preferences leaned more or less exclusively toward bags and bags of Doritos, haha. I was reading last night that NY State is going to tax marijuana and the tax rate will be determined by the potency of the pot. How will they determine that? Will Cuomo be sampling each variety? I personally am not in favor of the legalization. We have enough drunks on the road without adding a bunch of stoners to the mix.

From what I have read, there are chemical tests which can be run to measure the amount of THC in the weed. To the best of my knowledge there is no quick test to determine the amount of THC in a person's blood although I think companies are working on that. So for sales test could be run like they are now to determine the alcohol content of beer, wine and liquor.

they are going to tax the potency of the pot: so, the more stoned a person wants to be, the more he has to pay? How are they ever going to do that? That is totally bizzare. How will they know? ( I don't want to know how they will know...)

The thought of boxed mac-n-cheese and ketchup as a reward for smoking legal pot is enough to make me 'just say no!'.

I imagine as weed becomes legal in more and more places that viable field testing will be following close behind.

Most of the people I've known who are long term weed smokers are dumb as a box of rocks. Now, I don't know if that's a result or a cause of being a pothead.

The two words "recreational" and "drug" would be enough for me to avoid smoking that crap. Who wants to become a "recreational drug addict." I can find many things I would do for recreation besides getting stoned. They say it isn't addicting. Hell, cigarettes and vaping are addicting, why wouldn't smoking ANY substance be addicting?
