I had a call earlier that my uncle who is only two years older than me has passed away in Atlanta Ga. We were always very close and hung around together ever since we were both very young.
As we age we pass many milestones in life. Today I became the oldest surviving member of our family. That is a very sobering realization.
Keep our family in your prayers. Jim will be deeply missed. He was just a fun guy to be around.

Thanks CB. I was glad that Kathy and I got to spend a few hours visiting him at the assisted living when we went down to see my other uncle when he was on his deathbed. The Covid restrictions were in place so we had to sit out on the patio of the place but we joke and chatted for quite awhile. He was my mom's younger brother. My grandmother had Jim when she was 44. My my mom and dad were already married when he came into the world.

Jim was the drummer in my band 'The Nitecaps' years ago. He also did most of the singing. We worked closely together for 3 years in the early '60s and he was always eager to learn new songs and styles. I was in touch with him off and on over the years and I'll miss him a lot. He was a true friend.

I haven't heard back from my cousin Jay yet Kit. They were making the arrangements this afternoon. He was a 100% disabled Air Force veteran so he will be buried with military honors in a beautiful mountain top National Cemetery outside of Canton Georgia.
