The Upstate Jobs Party is an organization founded to reinvigorate the Upstate NY Region by embracing the Innovation Economy. We do that by supporting policies and candidates that support entrepreneurial growth and investment. UJP focuses on four key areas:
Upstate New York’s greatest resource is the talented people that live here. We need to stop the outflow of young, talented people if we have any future chance of success.
New York’s economic development system is broken, one where government picks winners and losers through a game-show-like awards ceremony. We’ve seen that failure first hand. New York should fix this system to support entrepreneurs and investment and avoid one-size-fits-all approaches that forget Upstate is part of New York.
New York’s entire governmental system needs reform. Whether it’s the regular litany of ethics problems, unfair election laws that seek only to protect the incumbent, or a broken campaign finance system, New Yorkers feel like they can’t trust their government.
