wcyb.com/news/nation-world/plunging-demand-for-covid-19-tests-may-leave-us-exposedPeople don't realize just how important it is to take the pandemic seriously until unfortunately it strikes one of their own family or a close friend. Crowding into bars, bitching because of crowd size limits on gatherings, and tossing the masks and hand sanitizer all leads to continued spread and the impatient and complacent just don't get it. Very frustrating indeed. People being lax in getting tested certainly is going to increase the spread. In my opinion, anyone that starts feeling crappy or showing any symptom that even MIGHT be covid related should carry there ass somewhere and get tested. Early detection certainly saves lives, and knowing that you are positive and quarantining slows the spread. All simple facts. People who ignore the problem endanger ALL of us. It is ignorant and selfish. It makes me want to slap the crap out of SOME people who actually laugh at and ridicule those of us who comply with guidance and are literally fighting for our lives and the lives of our loved ones. It almost has to be better up there in NY where the restrictions still prevail at a higher level than here.

One would think it is better up here, but it's probably just a matter of degree. I have a seriously nutty neighbor...you know...one of "those types"...this guy is the neighborhood gossip who lives alone, has no friends, but is seriously into everyone's business in every way. You can't blink or say boo on this street without him knowing about it. Anyhow, last summer, he made sure everyone knew that he was an anti masker, he wasn't afraid of any old flu, and he wasn't going to wear a mask and if no one liked it, well, too bad. Everyone was avoiding him...telling him to get back, get away...so, get this, he got a collapsable ruler and carried it with him at all times and when anyone would say: It's six feet, John, he would whip out his ruler and measure the distance. Then, suddenly, people stopping seeing him around. No guess work here. He had Covid. He almost died, but dyed in the wool moron that he is, he still denies it, to this day. I hear him talking to neighbors, who also go about unmasked, and he still denies it. Most of my neighbors on this little street are pretty complacent. I don't know how may else have had it. One died that I know of. Most of the people walking in the morning on Genesee Street are not masked, some of the stores had a very bad time getting people to wear masks. I rarely go to stores anymore, but I think if people can get away with flouting the restrictions, they will, doesn't matter where they are.

There have been reports of people laying in a hospital bed dying of Covid & begging Dr's to save them, in total denial that they have the virus & it's going to kill them. The Country has been taken over by deranged conspiracy theorists & power mad politicians who are taking advantage of them for their own gain. We all know who they are & there is a cabal of them in Florida right now spreading their drivel making matters worse for the rest of us. It's pathetic.
