Mohawk Valley Weather: Another winter storm headed to region Thursday Observer-Dispatch Yet again, another round of significant snowfall is taking aim for New York. Another winter storm is expected to bring snowfall to Utica and across the Mohawk Valley region Thursday into Friday. The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in anticipation of significant accumulating snowfall beginning Thursday morning. The snow is expected to cause difficult morning and evening commutes Thursday, the weather service said.
