www.dailydot.com/irl/14-year-olds-fatally-stab-uber-eats-driver-ryan-munsie/Any questions as to why there is an increase in the number of people carrying a concealed weapon? During the day, not so much, but at night? At night I don't leave home without it. The man who just acquired a local convenience store where I buy lotto occasionally was robbed. He says he was terrified because the robber not only pointed a gun at him, he reached over the counter, grabbed him by the hair, and put the muzzle against his forehead and threatened to kill him if he didn't open the register and move away from it while an accomplice emptied it. The world is becoming a dangerous place. Robbery is on the rise as is home invasion. A year ago I would not have probably considered carrying a gun to go out anywhere. I hope it never has to come out of the holster. My guns have always been for recreation and hunting. Not since the military have I carried a gun for defense purposes.

This is what happened to me in 2011, just before I retired: I was the front end night cashier at Walgreen's and as I went to lock the front door, before dropping the deposit at 10PM, a man who was outside the building hanging out, and casing the place, waiting for me to close the door, wedged himself between the doors and forced his way in. I was all alone at the cash out as the manager was in the back counting the drawers. The man stood in front of the cashwrap and just stared at me. I called the manager to come out to the front and he refused. Mind you, there is a large glass window from the office that faces the sales floor where the managers can see everything, so I know the manager saw him there. Essentially, the manager threw me under the bus and I was on my own. I saw a large bulge (gunshaped) from the band of the man's pants, but at no time did this man threaten or move towards me. By then I saw the man was either drunk or high. After about ten minutes he went out, I opened the door and let him out. The manager came out and I asked him why he refused to help me and he didn't answer. I told him that the man could have done anything he wanted to me and he had no answer. The next day I called corporate and told them everything. We had a meeting and the manager denied everything. Plus, corporate said that I had no reason to say the man had a gun and that they couldn't tell by the video, which was a lie, because those cameras are so exact that they can focus in on a dime. So, the next day I quit. I called in dead. I am not kidding. The manager was livid. he said "I couldn't quit! He was all alone and there was no one to do the work!" I never went back to Walgreens. A few years later this manager was arrested for something and served 5 years in prison. What goes around comes around.

Karma is a cruel mistress. Glad that Karma caught up with the manager. I guess he must have left his balls in his other pants. What person that is any kind of a man would stand by and leave you hanging in jeopardy while he cowered in the office. Karma also caught up with corporate if he wound up in prison for embezzling from them.
I wonder if the intent was to rob you and he chickened out or if he was just so damned high he didn't know what he was doing.
