Nancy Pelosi was speaking this morning at a press conference and stated that President Biden had moved to make it ILLEGAL to call the virus the "China Virus." Are you kidding? I wonder if you will be thrown to the ground, cuffed, and jailed if a cop happens to overhear you calling it that. That is about the dumbest decree I have heard in awhile and I thought some of Trump's were a bit outlandish and unenforceable.  |

So...that is a bit over the top. He could have asked all of us to reframe the label and just not call it the China Virus, but illegal?? I wonder under what jurisdiction any policeman is going to arrest a person for this? And what's next...Chinatown, Chinese food, china soup bowls, bone China tea cups, Chinese green tea,...the possibilities are endless... I can think of a few good ones... not fit for Forum consumption however.

Precisely my thoughts Artsyone. That is nothing but an obvious jab at Trump. I honestly have never heard anyone call the virus the China virus. Most people just refer to Covid, Corona virus, or simply the virus. I DO have little doubt that it arrived here directly China, or someone that had recently BEEN in China. Those that deny that and say it could have come from anywhere are avoiding the obvious. If it came here from Europe track it back and it will still be found to have originated in China. Not fit for Forum consumption? Hmm. It might possibly be fit for consumption in a modest portion, accompanied by a hot beverage like CHINESE tea, while eating CHINESE food from a CHINA bowl. Just insure that your bowl is clean and not contaminated with the CHINA virus.  |

I've heard people call it the China virus & I just ignore them. Making the term illegal is just a bit much imho.

The virus originated in China in the town of Wuhan. China has just recently allowed for an investigation. I still believe this virus was man made as a biological war agent and that for some unforeseen reason it escaped the lab. We will find this out eventually. The virus is strong appears out of nowhere and mutates endlessly into a more viral form. We now have the South African variant in South Carolina was on the evening news. Watch the development of this variant as it escapes the current vaccine. I think we have now faced the evil one Satan and all his works. Beware!!!!!
