Sunny, 61 degrees and climbing. Good day to make the band saw sing, and the sanders hum. Maybe even fire up the planer and plane some repurposed pine pallet wood to use for future soft wood projects. Nothing more relaxing than rolling up the overhead doors, letting the sun shine in, while enjoying some country tunes, the sound of power tools, and the smell of freshly cut wood or sawdust.
I have a couple of charcuterie boards that I am working on for gifts that I probably can complete and and give a first application of mineral oil finish. Sometimes I seal and finish boards of this type with food safe wax but it costs more and I don't have any on hand right now.
Have a good day all. Stay well and stay safe.

Cold, 25 degrees and falling. Nothing more relaxing than rolling out of bed, shuffling to the bathroom, wobbling down the stairs into the kitchen, while looking out the window and mumbling "Oh, shit. This the big one Elizabeth." Nothing better than flipping on NPR and enjoying the sound of the announcers nasaly ass voice booming out all the latest covid statistics and the smell of the cat box in the corner. Have a good day all. Stay well and safe and try to ignore the fact that Iv'e been trapped in this house since the day after Christmas due to quarantine and the next day, after I find out I'm negative, well...here come the judge! I think I'll go back downstairs and try to scarf up some paint, a few brushes and some spackle and try to fill in the deep claw marks on the dining room wall. Nothin' like cabin fever to make the heart grow fonder and all the psychiatrists richer.

We have the opposite of a warm spell. Snow, wind and sub-zero nights in our forecast.

I went to the shop for awhile and came in to eat lunch. Yep, warm and sunny but with a cool breeze blowing from the northwest. Today is the only day of this unseasonably warm weather. Tomorrow it begins a slide back to the 40's and lower.
Well, back to the shop for awhile. Enjoy your day.

Finally got our first snowfall today. Big, white, wet flakes that are "good packin'" for snow balls and snow men. Coming down thick and fast, but, probably won't stick to the ground long. Nice diversion though.

Ventured out for some supplies and put up with those that forgot how to drive in the snow. I shoveled a quickie path on the walk and driveway and will go out later this evening to snow blow my walk and the neighbors. Very pleased with the electric snowblower I bought. Used it last week and it was pretty good. Take some getting used to with the cord, but damn sure better than lugging the heavy gas machine around.
Still want to sell the gas one if I can find a buyer.

Hitting mid 50's again today, but rapidly dropping tonight with an inch or more of snow here in the valleys and 5 inches in the mountains. How much total snow did you all get in Utica yesterday? I know it was coming down pretty heavy when I talked to a friend in Whitesboro yesterday afternoon.
