www.kansascity.com/news/nation-world/national/article248601615.htmlAre the prices rising in the Utica area? So far they have hung at $2.19 on the average in this area for a week or so with little fluctuation. Sam's club, Kroger's, and other stations that have discounts for store customer courtesy cards allow people to purchase gas at a 10% or more discount.

I will let you know the next time I fill up. Lately my gas usage has been measured in days per gallon.
In addition to blocking the Keystone XL pipeline, Biden also stopped construction on another pipeline in the Eastern US. Today there is talk of a 60 day ban on drilling on federal lands. Hang on to your wallets.

I had to stop at Byrne Dairy in New Hartford when coming home from work tonight, at 11:15 PM as every place else was closed. Only pumped $20.00 worth as I usually get mine at BJ's/ I paid $2.489 a gallon.

I have a Fastrac member card which discounts $.10 off a gallon. I usually burn midgrade because my truck performs better on it which can be at least $.10- .20 higher then the 87.

I drive a Ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi engine. About 400 hp. When I first bought the first hemi in 05 I burned 89 octane. When I had the 2010 model I noticed that there was very little difference in mileage or performance between using 87 or 89 octane. I asked the service manager at the dealership and he told me that it was because the computer on the truck senses and adjusts the timing or whatever to the differences in the two so the engine performs pretty much the same regardless. My last truck before buying my first 1500 hemi was a Ford with a small block V-8. If I put cheaper, lower octane gas in that truck it pinged and spark knocked and couldn't pull a sick whore out of bed, but ran fine on on mid-grade. I put a bottle of STP fuel injector cleaner in a full tank of gas every time I change oil (every 5000 miles) I have done that since I bought the my first truck with fuel injection back in the 90's. www.stp.com/products/fuel-additives/complete-fuel-system-cleaner/

I pour a bottle in every couple months.

Keeping the fuel system and injectors clean makes a big difference. The only additive that I have heard really bad things about is Seafoam. They say it does more damage over time than it does good.
