I recieve SNAP and welcome anything the govt gives me. My Social Security does not go far enough. Without this it's Ramen deluxe, ramen dejour and ramen hourderves. Seriously, I get by well enough, but families caught up in this pandemic, not very well. Any little bit helps. There is a convenience store on Oneida Street that has started a community refrigerator. The food is free for anyone to take and anyone can put food in there. It's good and always in use...however, I wonder what they'll do in the summer when the local guys who hang out there use it to chill off their brewskies.. .I wonder if anyone has thought of that...other than the local guys who hang out there...

Pizza: what does it matter if " local families from Africa" or where ever are getting "thousands of $$$ a month." They still have to eat. You have yours. Enjoy your lobster. It's more than 99% of all the people in the world have and remember, the goodness and generosity of the United States government, where yes, the streets are paved with gold, paid for that lobster , so be grateful and let it alone.

Have a good day and be well in all things great and small, but, let me tell you this, and this is for all the persons who are Clipper's guests here: I will never argue or fight with anyone, here, at any time, under any circumstance nor will I be rude to anyone, ever, at anytime, and I fully expect the same in return from all members here. Furthermore, the color of one's skin, how many children they have as well or their ethnic origins should have no bearing on the amount of gov't benefits, if any, that one recieves. Quite frankly, I am tired of your racist posts and comments about persons of color and I am asking you, personally, to stop it. The onus is on you. Do as you will, but don't involve me in it.

I deleted the offensive memes as well as the posting that included the thinly veiled yet blatantly obvious racist connotation.
The very few who have been banned have been banned for bringing racist remarks, epithets' to the forum. I am pretty lax in moderating and only do so when it becomes nothing short of offensive to other members.
I don't know the reason for the obnoxious and contentious acrimony toward artsyone but it's uncalled for and obnoxious and that crap won't be tolerated. NO personal attacks, harassment, either outright or inferred and pointed will be tolerated, nor will any racist remarks. Enough said. Let's just be tolerant of each other and keep it civil.

I'm glad to hear SNAP benefits are being increased. We're fortunate that we don't need to avail ourselves of the program but the old saying is true, "But for the grace of God go I". Furthermore, millions of kids are fed every day with SNAP benefits. No kid in this Country should go hungry no matter the circumstance. Actually, nobody should.

BHU: agree totally. If we can send people to the moon, we can afford to feed our own people no matter their race, ethnicity, skin color, sexual identity, age or by any other determinate.
