Business on the floor of the House will resume tonight at 8PM thank God so Government actions can continue. Article 25 now must be put in place. Pence is now speaking. Social media has suspended Trump accounts and he now should be impeached and removed from the White House. Enough is enough. I could not believe his speech he gave to those cause the trouble he just about welcomed them. Who knows what will happen at Biden's inauguration.
Now McConnell speaks. Senate to soon be in control by Democrats with our beloved Shummer as majority in charge. We get our $2000 stimulus checks.
Wow as he says this day is another that will live in infamy.

Per Cronkite: "It was a day like any other day, filled with events that alter and illuminate the times, and, you were there".

I agree with Kronkite Dick. We have lived through several days such as that over the years. However disturbing yesterday doesn't come to the level of 9/11, Pan Am crash of Flight 103 that took 259 lives, many of which were Syracuse students. We have seen tragedy and unrest before and survived it, and the assassination of both JFK, and his brother Robert. Everyone that has condemned Trump for the last 4 yrs can get over it. It is what it is and in 13 days you can revel in having ANOTHER corrupt and immoral man in the White House. If we look back, about half of our past presidents over the years have been immoral and corrupt to one extent or another. Yes, I am as mortified and disgusted by Trump's actions and lack of action yesterday as anyone else is, but other than the few that breached the capitol building, the rest of those demonstrators were simply doing what our constitution guarantees them the right to do, so we should not be painting all Republicans with such a wide brush. I for one backed Donald Trumps policies on protecting unborn children, controlling immigration through sealing our Southern border and proposing a travel ban on Chinese people wanting to enter the US when the Covid 19 virus was running rampant in China and spreading fast to the rest of the world. I laud his efforts to bring American jobs back to America, as well as his efforts to revise the misguided healthcare plan under Obama care ( I hope that we finally see that revised to take care of those in need while not intruding on those of us that HAVE our own healthcare insurance and am happy with it. Single payer healthcare is a nightmare that I hope we never see in this country.) He was 180 degrees out from Obama when it came to policy, but that doesn't make all his policy decisions bad. It comes down to the difference between liberal thinking Democrats and those of us more conservative Republican voters. Trump pulled us out of accords that were using us for their private ATM, and those who had taken advantage of past presidents and sucked them into agreements that favored them much more than the US and our security. We are now swinging back to a liberal Democrat in the White House. I am not happy about it, and yes I do believe there was voter fraud, but it is what it is, and hopefully we won't see an all out assault on our rights as citizens. I like my healthcare plan and I like guns, among other things. I hope that we can live in peace and take the good with the bad during the coming 4 yrs. It will be as rough of a ride for those of us that supported Trump's policies as it was for those of you who didn't. He was treated unfairly and received no cooperation from Democrats from he day he was elected, but it is in the past. I hope that the Republicans in congress don't treat Biden with the same disrespect and disregard for what they should be doing for the American people instead of what they are doing to further their personal agendas. It is not going to be a walk in the park by any means. Buckle up and hang on! While I respected Trump for his policies and agenda, I lost all respect for him yesterday when he more or less condoned the actions taking place and if truth be known sowed the seeds and incited much of the violent and illegal actions. As a man he is nothing short of an egotistical narcissist, but then he is no bigger of a narcissist than Obama was. His moral issues and scruples don't live up to the Obama legacy or those of the 2 Bush presidencies but the man truly loves this country. Should they decide to invoke the 25th amendment and remove him from office, I think he has proven unfit to finish his term however short the remainder may be. Half his cabinet is resigning and Mike Pence is a much more level headed individual to say the least. That is MY opinion. Take it or leave it. While I supported him, I think any ambitions he may have of running again in 2024 are out the window. He burned his last bridges yesterday. I don't think even the most supportive or us would ever vote for him. He wouldn't make it past he first phases of the primaries. I really don't think he will ever garner any level of respect again in politics OR business. Yes, I got off of the Trump Train at the last station.

If McConnel had any backbone he'd march into the W.H. with other GOP leaders & demand that Trump resign just like what was done with Nixon. He encouraged the rioting, egged them on & is directly responsible for what happened. Trump attempted with his mouth what he couldn't accomplish at the polls, which was to stay in power. I have no doubt in my mind that had those rioters entered the senate & house chambers there would have been a hostage situation. Four people lost there life in that riot & Trump has blood on his hands. He's a disgrace & unfit for office. I knew that some day Trump, with his mouth would get people killed. Thankfully, he's out in two weeks. Our Democracy survived despite Trump's attempts to destroy it. Trump, Don Jr. & Guiliani should be charged with inciting a riot with their remarks at that hate rally.

A DC policewoman has died of a stroke after being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher. A woman was crushed to death by the crowds. A woman trying to crawl through a window into the Senate chambers was shot in the neck and has died. Two others are dead of causes undetermined, possible heart attacks.
