First I've heard that. As a side note, I've heard that violations are rampant in the O.C. office building. People not wearing masks or wearing them improprely. Sanitizing procedures are a joke. Just unbelievable & I'm glad I don't have any reason to enter that building.

We have places like that here also. Not the county building. Walmart is the biggest offender with a lot of people wearing their mask below their nose or taking it off as soon as they pass through the front door. Bars, churches, and WALMART are named specifically as the most likely to result in being exposed to those no mask nitwits. I was fairly comfortable shopping and wearing my mask, but the recent spike locally and the fact that it has stricken our friend's mother hits too close to home and has me hunkered down and doing business by drive-thru and curbside pickup. People have just become complacent although the numbers continue to rise at an alarming rate.

I volunteered to be a trace back person. I figured I would volunteer for a certain day each week until I was no longer needed and be shown how to do the job. Well I get this email with a link to a site that preps to see if you can do the job by offering several scenario's with a test given after each segment of materials. So much material and testing. I decided not to do it. I didn't know I would be going back to college.

Hey this was on tonight's news. Cuomo made the call after to many ill regularities. www.wktv.com/content/news/Cuomo-announced-parts-of-Oneida-County-are-in-COVID-19-yellow-zone-573389601.htmlCUOMO ANNOUNCES PARTS OF ONEIDA COUNTY ARE IN COVID-19 YELLOW ZONE ALBANY, NY – A large portion of Oneida County is now under the state’s COVID-19 yellow zone guidelines, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday. The yellow zone covers a large section of central Oneida County, from the Town of Lee in the northwest to just over the Herkimer County line in the southeast. The cities of Utica and Rome are included. “Rome, Utica, Oneida County… there is a problem there and we have to start to be honest about it and address it,“ said Cuomo in a press briefing Monday afternoon. Restrictions in the yellow zone include: - Public indoor gatherings limited to 25 people - Indoor dining is allowed, but a maximum of four people per table - Bars and restaurants must close at 10:00 p.m. - Private in-home gatherings limited to ten people - Businesses can stay open - Schools can stay open

I came accross a post on FB from a local nurse who is begging people to follow guidelines. Here's the jist of what the person posted, Nurses are wearing the same N95 mask all day, wearing the same gown from room to room because there's a shortage of them, nurses taking care of multiple COVID patients, ER'S full of COVID patients, some parked in hallways waiting for beds which are all full, ICU's are full with many patients on vents, you get the picture. It's worse now then it was last spring. If things don't turn around it's only a matter of days before this county is shut down.

I believe all the political leaders of each State are to be held responsible for the deaths that have taken place since each State was allowed to open back up from the original shutdown of all non essential businesses. Shame on them. They allowed to virus to take hold by giving their citizens the false hope that the curve was flattened.

They can do what they want but the way to keep small businesses afloat & to fix the economy is to cure the pandemic. There's not enough vaccine to go around & there won't be until spring/summer so it's going to be a long winter with more people dying, etc. The latest concern is there may be a shortage of reagents needed to manufacture the vacvine. If that happens, we're screwed. That subject was brought up months ago but the hacks in Washington who are responsible for taking action dropped the ball like they've done with everything else since this pandemic started. Here we are more then 9 months into this catastrophe & there's still a shortage of PPE for healthcare workers. It's a disgrace.

Every day at work I have to wonder what people are thinking. They pack Walmart like a tuna can. We have a limit on the amount of people allowed in at one time, but the percentage is so skewed it really doesn't matter. I keep thinking it must be 50% of what it would be like if people were packed so close none of them could move.
I drive to work and keep thinking that there are far too many people out there wandering around, no matter what zone we happen to be in.

I noticed in both Walmart's they are counting people entering and leaving. I too wonder what the percentage is that they aim at for each day or each hour! Last Saturday in the New Hartford store it was packed like a tuna can. I even heard some people saying " I thought they were limiting numbers?

Walmart cares nothing about about anything but the bottom line. When it breaks out in their Bentonville offices and the big wigs get it they might actually try to comply with local and state mandates.
I went by our Walmart the other day. They have one door going in at the grocery end of the store and people have to exit at the opposite in through the door near the pharmacy. They had crime scene tape stretched along the front of the store and NOBODY was keeping 6 feet away from the person in front of them and most of them had their mask pulled down under their chin. I was on my way to Tractor Supply to buy a bottle of bar oil for the chain saw. I wouldn't go in Walmart if they were GIVING away groceries. I shop at Food City because they are owned by a local family, and for take out or curbside pickup of supper or whatever I use curbside pickup and shop locally owned small restaurants. I always thought I would never use curbside pickup for groceries but so far at our local food city I have not had to wait more than 3 or 4 hours for a pick up time. Krogers is making people wait hours and hours or even the next day. I was always a loyal Kroger customer until they raised prices on meat to usurious levels, and put self checkout machines at all but 3 check out aisles. They have three live cashiers and 16 self checkouts.
I pray for Ralph every day with him swimming in that sea of asshats every day.

There was a local doctor on tv the other night pleading with people to please take the masking thing and socially distancing very serious. He showed the photo of the FEMA morgue trailer and told people that he is exhausted and that he cries every time he has to tell a nurse to bag the body of someone that died alone with no family at their side.
