I saw a photo yesterday of a photo taken by a friend in Clinton with the ground completely covered with no grass peeking through.
Another friend in Newport said that they got just a dusting with the grass still showing through.
It is that time of year. Only a matter of time before the ground is covered until spring. We have seen flurries and a small accumulation in the higher elevations in the surrounding mountains to our East. No snow here yet but it is another morning when Utica is 5 degrees warmer than it is here.
Have a good day and stay warm.

We got about an inch here which has melted. Temps later this week are supposed to be in the 60's with sunny skies. I may even get a chance at putting a coat of wax on my truck before winter takes hold. I do that every spring & fall.

I may even get a chance at putting a coat of wax on my truck before winter takes hold. I do that every spring & fall. The same pattern seems to be coming for us also. It is only 32 this morning, but going to high of around 65 or so today, and may possibly reach in the the mid to high 70's over the next 7 days. This is pretty much the norm for this part of the country. I have seen snow come and go in mid October, and I have also mowed the lawn right into December with temperatures in the 50's and 60's. wcyb.com/weather
