Our area of NE Tennessee had a record setting 400 cases in a single day over several counties as reported by the Ballad Health System's 12 or 14 hospitals. I am back to being very cautious and less inclined to go out and about town.

(CNN) -- In just one week, the fall surge in Covid-19 infections added nearly half a million cases to the national total.

The past seven days have been marked by daunting coronavirus records and upticks, with 489,769 new cases reported since October 20. More than 8.7 million people have now been infected since the pandemic again, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The fall resurgence has led some local and state officials to rein in their reopening plans, as hospitalization numbers increase and states report case records. Building on already high case counts, health experts have warned this rise could be worse than any the US has seen before.

Fauci & other experts predicted a fall surge 6 months ago. This is what happens when people listen to politicians who lie thru their teeth every single day of the week, instead of paying attention to scientists. This is no laughing matter & because of incompetence & stupidy thousands of more people are going to die. It's a disgrace & that's putting it mildly.    Walmart has recently scaled back on all the measures they had in place, with the exception of the mandated face coverings.
We still have to be temped before we can go clock in, but the customers are freely roaming around now as before.   Supposedly they are going to extend open hours to 11PM this week.  Now we'll have customers up our butts right up until we are done.
Makes our job harder and exposes us more.   Don't want to discourage any of that holiday madness shopping ya know.

Ralph I noticed that. All the safety measured scaled back to almost nothing. But a lot more security officers standing around. I like the company they hired: Bosnian Security. I bet there moto is : Don't mess with us!
