The 92 yr old uncle that we went to see last week passed away at about 5:30 today. It is the end of a chapter in my life. He was the last of the aunts and uncles other than one uncle that is only 2 yrs older than I am. He is my mom's younger brother but he is closer in age to MY generation than my mom's. We had been quite close since my parents passed away. I used to call him a couple of times a week.
At least he is out of pain and at peace. Reunited with my aunt. He and his present wife were here two or three times and we camped with them a couple of years ago for a week. He was just a fun guy to be around.
