Kathy's nephew Jim and his girlfriend Debbie have been here a week today. They have accomplished an amazing number of tasks, all outside in the 90 degree heat and high humidity. Today Debbie wants to go to Johnson City shopping at several of her favorite stores. We are leaving at 11 and she doesn't plan to be back until 4 or 5pm. Yikes! haha. I have the Ipad charge to 100%. I will spend most of the afternoon watching movies on the ipad while she shops. I have ONE item that I need to buy, and that is Kathy's birthday present for her upcoming birthday on the 14th. After that purchase in complete it will be down to relaxing in the airconditioned truck for the rest of the afternoon. I don't know how women can shop for 5 hours straight, but it is the least I can do for her in return for her hard work. We have really enjoyed their company as well as their hard work on tasks that would be long and tedious for me, or expensive to have someone else do. Now we have a couple of days of just relaxing and having fun before they leave on Sunday morning.

I will never cease to be amazed at the time a woman can spend in a store shopping. I am an "in and out" type shopper. Deb loves to shop when she comes down here. I guess prices are lower here. She does a lot of her Christmas shopping here. The back seat was fairly well loaded by the time we came home. I am glad I took the Ipad. We left at 11 and went to Johnson City. She was in Ross's for an hour, Old Navy for 1/2 hour, Kohls for an hour, Plato's Closet for about 1/2 hr. We got back home at about 4:45. I relaxed and binge watched Night Shift episodes while she shopped. It was actually a very relaxing day. The only shopping I did was for Kathy's birthday gift. I knew what I was going to buy, got the gift and a card and was back in the truck in less than 15 minutes, haha.

I forgot the stop at the huge liquor and wine store for her to buy bottles for friends back home. Liquor is much cheaper here because it is not taxed as heavily. I went to a bagel store in the same strip mall while she was in there and bought some really large genuine NY Style bagels like what I used to get at Bagel Grove on Burrstone Road. Last stop was at Hardy's drive-thru for her to get burgers for her and Jimmy.
