Woke up to rainy and gloomy day. Can't accomplish anything outside and it will be too muddy for a couple of days to rake the soil and seed where I leveled the trench line. I hate days when I am confined by weather.
I just pedaled for 30 minutes on the exercise bike I purchased on Saturday on the local marketplace website. Worked up a good sweat and got the blood pumping. Now I am headed to the shower and to get ready for a primary care appointment with my civilian PC doc. I tried to do it by phone but she wants to see me since my last routine appointment was handled by phone. I am sure that all she will do it insure that my heart is still beating and then she will ask me if I need any refills on meds. She might look in my ear to see if she sees daylight shining through from the other side.
When I leave there I am heading to the Virginia side of town to look at a 2017 fifth wheel travel trailer. A fifth wheel is much easier to hook and unhook. I thought that the tow behind would be better but with the fairly steep slope of our driveway I have a hard time getting it to lift off the ball when I unhook. Never had that problem with our past fifth wheel campers. We are looking to go 4 feet shorter also. For the two of us we don't really need a 28 foot trailer. With the fifth wheel I can just back up to the trailer until the pin clicks into the fifth wheel hitch and the trailer I am looking at today has all electric leveling jacks. We have had two 24 foot fifth wheels in the past and look forward to finding another while our 2016 tow behind is still worth17 or 18 thousand.
With a fifth wheel we might go back to bringing it to NY and staying at the Villages at Turning Stone. We gave that up mainly because of the effort and hassles of hooking and unhooking. With a fifth wheel we would do more camping around the SE also.
I hope everyone is having a pleasant day.
