Saturday I got all reved up to listen to Hamilton. Thank God I only payed 6.99 for the Disney app and not $200.00 plus for a ticket If I was lucky enough to purchase one if available (most even higher than that). Three hours of torture and I kept looking at the clock to see when it would end. I have never been more bored in my entire life and still do not understand the Hype behind this Movie/play after seeing it. I don't like rap and there was no singing or dancing as in other plays. While watching it I became aware of the fact a Black guy was playing Thomas Jefferson (but then most of the cast were Black) Nothing against that but it made me think of how the Blacks are up in arms saying that whites play black characters and just recently Disney removed or changed their animations that the Blacks found offensive. Double standards. Why no one up in arms about that.

So did anyone watch or see the play. Maybe you can expalin or am I the only one on this earth that hated it.

I never got into the music but my younger daughter loves it. Rap has never been my thing.

I am all for separate but equal. It would put a total end to racism. They could even have a Black House like our White House! I'm waiting for them to demand a name change. LOL

That theory has already been disproved PB. During the years of racial segregation we were separate but blacks were seldom treated as equal, and sadly even today way too many are discriminated against for no other reason than their skin color. Blacks in many cases live in poverty, and that poverty breeds crime and discontent.

Blacks have "equal opportunity UNDER THE LAW, but that equality sometimes runs up against a biased and bigoted white person in position that allows them to control the situation, whether it be in employment, housing or other situations. We don't need to give minorities free money. We need to give them jobs and opportunities to advance. We need to give them equal respect, but that respect also needs to be EARNED and sought, not just demanded or taken for granted.

That is why I think that bias would end if blacks were equal but separate from the white population. Several States could be designated as black or white. This way they would be totally equal but separate. Having their own education system and their own people in government. Right now it is proven that blacks learn much better with their own and with a black teacher. I don't see what problem that could cause.

What happens if they need government funding and dont get what they want . Then they’ll still be in the same predicament and scream racism? Italians, Poles, Irish and Germans have been discriminated against but we all persevered.

I just read in a post that people stipulated in their deeds for certain people not be be able to buy their property and banks also. Not sure but I dont think thats allowed today.

Here in Rochester they are trying to rename everything. Our airport will now be Frederick Douglas no longer Rochester International. Douglas only lived here he didnt start Rochester. Im really not crazy about people changing names. It was originally given for a reason so should not be taken away.
