LOL I have to go for a cardiac stress test. Did one of those many years ago. While I can walk very fast I cannot jog and the incline makes me dizzy. So this should be interesting.
Wish me luck!

OMG what a mess that turned out to be. I told them I cannot run that fast on that crazy machine so I ended up falling cutting the side of my left inner leg on some metal part. I ended up with 12 stitches and I have to go back to have some crazy chemical stress test. I just plain refused that one. Let's see who is gonna pay for this cause I sure ain't and I told them that.

Wow, sorry to hear that. I had the test done in March of 2019 & all I had to do was walk the treadmill albeit at a fast pace, but I passed. No jogging at all. I had another one probably 10 years ago & didn't jog for that one either.

Surprised. I think the big thing is that all the blood pressure meds I am on was not getting my heart beat up and I was very tired. They brought it on incline and speeded up that belt.

How are you this morning PB? If you are like me and couldn't run for water if you ass was on fire, the treadmill is not for you. I don't move very fast any more. I tried a treadmill at cardiac rehab and could only use it on a very slow speed. Even with new knees I can't go fast anymore due to two back surgeries to tread a broken back. The chemical stress test is a bit uncomfortable for a few seconds but is over quickly and doesn't require you to physically exert yourself.
I hope your leg will heal okay. When we are on blood thinners things seem to take their sweet time healing up. The medications may restrict your heart rate. I am on amiodarone which controls my heart rate. Even when I exercise fairly vigorously at rehab my heart rate only rises from 60 to 71 or 72.
When I was in my early fifties my stepson ran a gym in Barneveld. I used to go there after work 3 or 4 days a week. I would start out on a treadmill at a slow pace, work up to a run and run for 15 or 20 minutes are a fairly fast pace. If I tried that now they would need a crash cart to jump start me after I flew off the thing and landed in a pulseless heap in the corner.

Black and blue on right side where I hit something on my way down. I have to wash cut 2 times a day and apply Neosporin for 5 days. Then stitches come out. I am on amlodipine plus 3 other BP meds.
