Sadly the body they recovered from the Oriskany Creek in Clark Mills was my dad's first cousin's son in law. His wife is my distant cousin. I only reconnected with that part of the family a few short years ago. Very sad indeed. The family is devastated and can use all the prayer and support they can get as they work their way through this tragedy. I hadn't seen them in a about three years but the last time we were together I sat next to him at the table while we enjoyed a great baked lasagna dinner with family. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. I pray for peace and strength for the family and may J.R. rest in peace.
