Yep, it's a cold snap. It is only EIGHTY today. I just went to the store and post office. I can't believe how much cooler it feels than it has at 90 the past few days. I actually drove with the truck window down and no AC. I got the garden planted so I just rested all day today. That heat exhaustion or dehydration or whatever it was yesterday just knocked the hell out of me yesterday and last evening. Going bowling tonight with all the masking and social distancing in place. We will see how that works out. It is just for the leagues to make up the last 4 weeks of their season and is by appointment and by team so we are exposed only to the four that bowl on a team with room to distance ourselves even from each other as we bowl.

The bowling was well organized and social distancing was well addressed. They allowed 4 teams to schedule at the same time, and spread those 4 teams equidistant from each other on the 24 lanes. Masks are required in Virginia when entering any building but once inside, we did take off the masks to actually bowl. My team actually distanced ourselves from each other effectively with the vacant lanes on each side of the pair we bowled on. We actually sat 8 or 10 feet from each other. Two sat at tables on the concourse and two of us sat in the seating in the pit adjacent to the lanes.
We all really enjoyed seeing everyone and actually having fun for a change after being isolated for so long. They had installed Purell sanitizer strategically around the place. I took the Clorox wipes that I carry in my truck into the bowling alley and wiped down the table, the backs of the chairs, the touch screen and keypad on the scoring terminal. A good time was had by all.
I had not bowled since my heart issue in February. The cardiologist would not release me to bowl. He released me to bowl the very week that the bowling alley shut down. Having not bowled for several months I was pleasantly surprised when I actually bowled 6 pins over my average. Our team is maintaining first place for now with 3 more weeks to bowl.
