Cuomo bashes de Blasio, NYC police: ‘Did not do their job’
New York — Gov. Andrew Cuomo used his daily press briefing today to send a message to New York City police and Mayor Bill de Blasio after another night of looting and vandalism in the city.
“The NYPD and the mayor did not do their job last night,” Cuomo said during a press conference in Albany. "It was a disgrace. I believe the mayor underestimates the scope of the problem. I think he underestimates the duration of the problem.
“What happened in New York City was inexcusable.”
Police have been ineffective so far, he said.
