POTENTIAL CORONAVIRUS EXPOSURE AT NEW HARTFORD WALMART UTICA, N.Y. – Oneida County has reported another potential coronavirus exposure at a store in New Hartford. Someone, who later tested positive for coronavirus, was at the Walmart on Commercial Drive from 1 – 2 p.m. on April 21. Anyone at that location during that time period should monitor themselves for symptoms until May 5. Oneida County Health Department Director Phyllis Ellis says the risk of exposure was low, and it is not necessary to quarantine unless symptoms are present. If experiencing symptoms, people should contact their primary care doctors. Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente announced 11 new positive cases of coronavirus Thursday, bringing the overall total of positive tests to 324. There were 20 new cases reported yesterday, and Ellis said five of those people are associated with local nursing homes or prisons. www.wktv.com/content/news/Potential-coronavirus-exposure-at-New-Hartford-Walmart-569896041.html

There is potential for exposure every time we walk out of our homes, and especially if we shop at a large retail store with a percentage of customers not taking precautions or observing safe distancing. I never thought I would see the day that I would dread going out in public or would have to wear a protective mask and carry hand sanitizer in my pocket to be used after touching anything and everything in our quest to get what we need.

RoAnn Destito was just on the news. Wearing a mask around her neck not covering her nose or mouth. What is the point?

Pelosi was on doing the same thing and Trump took his mask off while touring a factory making masks. Perhaps of our leaders actually led by example ...

Politicians are immune to the rules they impose on the rest of us. Our Tennessee governor is no different. I have seen him several times over the last few days as he did his daily update briefing. He, nor any of those around him at the podium had a mask. I have yet to see Cuomo with a mask either.

So called leaders who don't wear a mask are settng a bad example. There are stupid people, to put it bluntly who see a leader without a mask & think "why should I wear one"? What they don't realize is that intelligence is not a prerequisite to being elected to public office.
