My truck is over 1000 miles past due for an oil change. Even though they say that you can go 6 or 7 thousand miles on the semi-synthetic oil, I always change oil every 4 or 5 thousand. I will suit up, arm myself with my hand sanitizer and mask, my Clorox wipes, and off I go. I will check in, then with my winter jacket on I will take a walk or just wait outside while they do the change. They have a little pavilion with a couple of picnic tables. Maybe I will take my Ipad and sit out there and watch a movie until they are done. It's in the 50's so I won't freeze.
When they are finished I will Clorox wipe the door handle before I get in, clorox the steering wheel, door panel, console, and arm rest. Thankfully they use a plastic seat cover to protect your seat when the technician drives It in for the service. I am getting used to the sanitizing procedures whenever I go anywhere at all, taking care to sanitize door handles, my hands, my key fob for the truck and even my debit card.
They are saying that a mask isn't necessary for a person unless they feel sick. They say keeping the required distance from people is sufficient as the virus is spread by droplets in the air from a cough or sneeze. I have the mask and I wash it after every time it is used, so I might as well use it anyway.
Have a good day, stay safe and stay well.

Stay safe out there Clipper. I was planning on having the truck inspected, but have decided to put it off for now as the State has waved them for now if they are expiring. Just don't feel like dropping the truck off and walking home during all this.

I don't blame you Ralph. Your mechanic is over in W. Utica isn't he? As much as I want to stay in as much as possible, things like getting the truck serviced and stocking up with more meat seems like a good idea. Around here the virus hasn't taken hold too badly, but we know it will get worse before it gets better. I dropped the truck off and took a walk while they were servicing it. I was the only customer there at the time. Then I went to Sam's Club and bought $92 worth of more meat and seafood for the freezer. NOW maybe I can avoid going out for the near future. Sam's was not terribly crowded and they are sanitizing the carts before they give them to you. I re-sanitized the handle on mine anyway, and put a cardboard box in the bottom of it to keep the meat off the bottom of the cart. I used the self checkout and when I was done scanning, I squirted some sanitizer on my hands, sanitized the grip on the gun, sanitized my debit card, and then re-sanitized my hands.
Home and staying in now. It is only in the low forties here today. I hear my recliner calling me. It missed me while I was gone.

Getting ready to change the oil in my truck also. I use full synthetic because of the winters up here. Take me about a half hour or so. I'm all set as I pick up a quart here & there so that I don't get banged all at once at $7-8 bucks a quart & it takes about 5.5 qts. & I have the filter. Now if the weather would cooperate.....
I finally snagged some hand sanitizer.

Glad you were able to get some hand sanitizer. I quit changing my own oil quite some time ago. This is my third truck with the 5.7 hemi. They take SEVEN quarts of oil. I used to take it to the dealer and the last time I had the oil changed there it was $70. Quick Lane was only 40 something. Quick Lane is owned and operated by a company called Friendship Auto Group. They have every kind of dealership that you need in the tri-cities area. I bought my 2010 from them. Quick Lane has regular techs that do alignments, brakes, tires, and oil changes. Very attentive to what they are doing. It takes them about a half an hour. Not like Jiff Lube.
