2 new coronavirus cases in Oneida County, 1 hospitalized Oneida County has two new confirmed cases of coronavirus and one person has been hospitalized, Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente said Sunday at a briefing. One of the two new cases stem from a person coming into contact with someone that had already tested positive for coronavirus, Picente said. “It’s evidence that the system in place works,” Picente said. Oneida County Health Director Phyllis Ellis said the county would not be stating if the person came into contact with a family member with coronavirus or if the person came into contact with someone publicly. This follows the county’s decision to not state where in the county the positive tests are coming from. The person hospitalized is not one of the two new cases. Ellis said the person is in stable condition, but could not provide further details. www.uticaod.com/news/20200322/2-new-coronavirus-cases-in-oneida-county-1-hospitalized
