There was an article last night about some guy in Australia that meant to order 48 rolls of toilet paper. Somehow he ended up ordering 48 cases. He now has over 2000 rolls of the stuff.

I heard this on the news twice so far and if I heard it by now every American knows. My God how will we wipe. People will be walking around with brown stains on the back seat.

Have to do it like the muslims. Just make sure that you make lots of the hand sanitizer and buy lots of soap. Make sure you use the opposite hand from what you eat with and don't bite your nails or pick your nose with that hand.

The shelves that hold toilet paper at Walmart are almost bare. I got one batch today so tomorrow if my Angle Soft is still around I will carry back a few more. Wish I could carry more. What with that and groceries I have to keep up and getting a little panicky.

I got a hair cut today so if I die I will look nice on a slab up at Upstate Medical School.

Coronavirus update: Wegmans limits purchase of toilet paper after panic buying

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Add toilet paper to the list of products shoppers are panic-buying as fear of the coronavirus grows.

Wegmans is limiting customers to the purchase of one family pack of Wegmans-brand bath tissue after shoppers started buying up toilet paper in large quantities.

The supermarket chain had previously placed limits on the purchase of hand sanitizer and related products.

Shelves normally full of toilet paper at the Wegmans stores on Route 57 and Route 31 in Clay were nearly bare on Tuesday morning.



Toilet paper offers no protection from the coronavirus, but there have been reports nationally and globally of people buying up toilet paper.



“We have limited our family pack sizes to one each per order,” Deana Percassi, director of public relations for Wegmans, said in a statement Tuesday. “Shopping trends are mimicking what we see leading up to a weather event, and one of the items that has increased in sales is toilet paper.”



Here is the complete list of products that Wegmans has placed purchase limits on:



Limit of 3 each per order



Hand sanitizer

Rubbing alcohol

Alcohol wipes and prep pads

Hydrogen peroxide

Limit of 2 each per order



All Wegmans disinfecting wipes, 75 count

All Clorox disinfecting wipes

All Lysol disinfecting wipes

Wegmans towelettes, 40 count

Wegmans water, 35 and 24 packs

Limit of 1 each per order



Wegmans bath tissue, family pack

Wegmans soft bath tissue, family pack

The company said it continues to receive shipments of these products and is “pushing them out to stores as soon as they arrive.”

   We visited BJ's for the first time in years yesterday and they had tons of toilet paper.   I bought a LARGE package of it as we keep running out at Walmart.
   I think the media induced paranoia is causing more harm than the virus is.

I think so too Ralph. I saw tamale wrappers at Food City today when I went for milk. Some Mexican lady in front of me had a whole bunch of them. Must be going to make a large quantity of tamales for some reason. Shhhh! Don't tell anyone but tamales are wrapped in corn husks. There may be a run on THEM if the stores run out of TP. haha.

I also saw an item on the garage sale site here local that had me shaking my head in disbelief. There was a portable bidet device for sale. I don't know how one would use it. It fits under the toilet seat and has a two dial control unit that is at your side, protruding from under the seat as you are seated on the john. It had a regular household 120 volt cord attached to operate the pump as well as a water supply hose that taps into a T in the supply line for the toilet.

I think I would be a bit skeptical and wary of having a 110 volt power source squirting water on my anus. Nope! Not for me.

MHA put up a huge STOP sign on the front door to the building. Asking questions as to is you have traveled to the following Countries in the past several weeks and if you have a temperature or cough to first ask receptionist for instructions. Nice idea but:

NO RECEPTIONISTS IN MY BUILDING THEY HAVE TO GO TO 2ND STREET FOR THAT AND NO REFERENCE TO THAT ON THE STOP ALERT BULLETIN.

Have you ever tried a bidet. What a weird experience. I tired it once visiting somewhere down south and that damn thing gave me a hard on.

Still no luck finding hand sanitizer. N.Y.S. is making the stuff in prisons but it will only be distributed to institutions such as senior centers.

  BHU, We have hand sanitizer coming in every day up at North Utica Walmart, but it doesn't stay long and is often gone as fast as it is being put on the shelf.

Yup none available this afternoon in North Utica Walmart. They are out of a lot of supplies related to this virus. I keep an eye out for elderly frail ladies carrying any of these supply's so I can grab and run then hop on a get a way Bus.
