Syracuse hospital testing patient for coronavirus Updated 9:58 AM; Today 9:53 AM SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Crouse Hospital is testing a patient for coronavirus. The patient, who came to the hospital’s emergency room late Sunday, is at very low risk of having the virus, said Dr. Seth Kronenberg, the hospital’s chief medical officer. “The patient was not exposed to any known coronavirus contacts,” he said. The hospital took samples from the patient this morning and sent them to the state Health Department’s lab in Albany.
