I hope that storm passes to the North of Utica. I read that it would bring the most snow to the Tughill area of the state. Are local forecasts showing it missing the Utica Rome area?
Going to be very cold here for a few days. Highs only in the low 30's with snow in the mountains, and wind chills that will make us southerners shiver and cower inside. Thankfully I don't have any need to be outdoors other than to walk the dog, and for a doctor's appointment tomorrow.
It is ridiculous how intolerant of cold weather my body has gotten. It is 72 in the house right now and I am sitting here with a long sleeve flannel shirt on and I am still chilly.

Quite a spread what they're predicting for the Utica/Rome area. Depending on which meteorologist you're watching it's anywhere from 1"-6". Next week temps mid week will almost hit 50.

There was about 1 inch on my sidewalk and driveway when I got up. It's sunny now so most of it has melted already.

The same here CB. Much adieu about nothing. I went to the doctor at 11:15 and they had enough salt on their parking lot to salt the Thruway from Utica to Albany, haha. Roads are all bare and dry.
There were four accidents being worked at the same time on the same bridge in Johnson City this morning because the bridge was slippery. Sadly these southern folk just don't seem to have the knowledge that is just common to a northern state driver. At least there was only one injury requiring an ambulance out of that mess.

Of course, when I had to go out it was overcast, light snow and very windy.

Got maybe a little more then an inch. And it can stay there for now. Mother Nature put it there, she can take it away.

Why would any business plow their driveway and pile up the snow on the sidewalk? The crap one has to put up to around this area part town is amazing. Stupid people.

Call city hall. It is the business's responsibility to clear the sidewalk in front of their business. Not to bury it.

Are you staying in and hunkering down today PB. It sounds like a good day for hot coffee or tea and tv or a good book. Is that old lady with a walker that blew over in the wind last night still laying in the parking lot of did someone pick her up before she got plowed up into the snowbank when they plowed the lot? ')
