It finally has stopped drizzling for a little while. The rain will be back later today but at least it has stopped long enough for the stream levels to drop a bit.
I am off to the VA this morning for a primary care appointment and to visit the walk in hearing aid repair clinic. A little button that selects one of three volume options on top of one of my hearing aids has fallen out. I noticed it yesterday. Must have gotten knocked out by the bow on my glasses or something. It is a mystery to me. If they have to send it away for repair I will find it odd to be using only one.
For the $6000 price tag that the VA says they cost, one would think they would be a bit more durable. I guard them closely and yet this has happened. They have never been dropped or anything. For now, I am at least able to adjust them with the remote control.

I was mistaken. It was the volume control button and the volume on that hearing aid is adjusted at the same time as the other, either with the control on my other hearing aid or with the remote so I don't need to send it away for repair. Doctor's visit went well. Cholesterol and all my lab work was great. My blood pressure was 128/58. I am a happy camper.

I was just checking the price of my hearing aids if I had to purchase and pay for them. The VA says that they are worth $6K for the two of them. Looking online I find that they only cost $4800 for the pair. I guess it is just one more company overcharging the VA and government.
