This note evidently went up today on the web page: "Note From AOL: Our weekly survey was restarted again on Monday, July 14 at 2PM ET. We will be launching a new version of this poll shortly that includes third-party presidential candidates." Anyway, I'm not sure folks who take on-line surveys are a cross section of America.

Its interesting because from what I see AOL poll outcomes tend to shift more toward the conservative point of view. Actually if you get 32 (or around that number) people together you can get valid results.- Just as long as they are selected randomly. Yep I paid attention in Stats Class- well for the most part

I agree, Dave. And the number of voters (32,000) is by no means an adequate sample size either. I thought it would be the other way around, though. I thought for sure the entire country would be blue. I remember in the 2004 election, every poll in America had kerry as the clear winner by a large margin. I really was surprised to see President Bush win re-election. Based on all the news stories, coffeeshop talk, etc., I wsa convinced kerry won. With all the hype over Senator Obama, I thought for sure he would lead ANY poll.

Last night it was 74%-24% so it is starting to swing in the opposite direction.
