Gas prices have been running between $2.22 and $2.32. Today I bought gas for $1.99. Yeehaw. I was doing my happy dance while the pump was running. haha. I don't know how they have been fluctuating over the last week or so, but my last fill up was $2.22 about a week ago. Strangely that prices have bounced 10 cent per gallon, up or down within a period of 24 hours a couple of times. I probably should have checked Sam's Club. It may have been cheaper yet, but I would have had to drive 8 miles or so to get it.
Are the prices fluctuating that drastically from day to day there in NY?

I haven't really been paying attention but see it selling now for $2.67 and around that give or take several cents.

That is about the normal difference between here and there. When we come North on vacation the gas is always 50 to 60 cents more in NY State. We always stop at Gibson Pa for the last topping off before the border and it is about 20 cents less there normally.

I have a Fastrac member card which links to my bank account. Using the card shaves $.10 off a gallon. Today I paid $2.58. BJ's is $2.54 but for some reason my truck burns their gas like water & loses horsepower so I avoid going there.

I hear ya when you talk about the lower mileage with BJ's gas. I use to buy gas at Murphy Bros. (Walmart) here when we first moved here because I got a 10 cent per gallon discount by loading money on a prepaid card and paying for the gas with it. With the 5.7 liter Hemi I get about 16 mpg around town and 19 or 20 on the highway. With that cheap gas the mileage dropped to about 12 or 13 and the acceleration and performance sucked. The 2016 truck runs and performs fine on 87 octane, but when we have been in NY and bought 87 octane from the Indian's Save-on stations the mileage and performance were noticeably lacking. I don't know what year model your truck is but my dealer told me that my 2016 Ram's computer will automatically adjust the timing or whatever so there is no difference in performance between the 87 and 89 octanes.

I have a 2012 Frontier with a 6 cyl 4x4. I agree with the Save On gas. The acceleration & hp drop is noticeable with their gas. This winter I've been burning mostly 89 octane & occasionally 91 or 92 octane. With the higher octane I've noticed that hp increases & acceleration is better with the higher octane. Maybe it's the winter blend that they're using up here, I don't know.
