www.lifesitenews.com/news/high-ranking-monsignor-with-link-to-pope-francis-caught-in-cocaine-fueled-g?fbclid=IwAR0cLa-mU59RqcjctoNJiMZmsoQYoPxxhmaY1OuBEiA8UT5AjDZdkc76tBUOne more scandal for the church to deal with, and one more reminder that Catholic clergy are simply human beings and occasionally wander from the pious rules that they normally are required to live under. At least in this case it involved consenting adults and there were no innocent children being sexually abused. It is a bit alarming however to think of a trusted clergyman cavorting naked with gay friends while high on cocaine, and within the Vatican City's walls. The pope must have just about had a stroke when he was informed of the situation and shocked to find it happening within the sanctity of the Vatican City. It is an incident that should be addressed more with prayer than judgment. Another instance reminding us that priests are not infallible.

More madness. They have to much time on their hands. That Cardinal in the photo needs some teeth whitening toothpaste.

More madness. They have to much time on their hands. That Cardinal in the photo needs some teeth whitening toothpaste. I agree PB. Probably too much coffee or smoking and not enough daily oral care. I am almost obsessive about my dental care. I would like to die with my original natural teeth still intact. I have my teeth professionally cleaned at least twice a year and sometimes 3 times. I brush and floss twice a day and at night before bed, in addition to brushing and flossing, I clean between my teeth with interdental picks to keep the plaque away from between my teeth at the gum line. My dentist stresses the importance of using the interdental picks in order to maintain your teeth and to prevent gum disease and gum line cavities. I only expound on the use of the interdental picks because even with good brushing and flossing, a person can end up with decay and gum disease because they aren't getting their teeth clean at the gum line and between the base of their teeth. Even the whitest of teeth can fall out if there is diseased or infected gums. www.amazon.com/DenTek-Brush-Micro-Interdental-Cleaners/dp/B07TDHW96F/ref=asc_df_B07TDHW96F/?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=&hvpos=&hvnetw=o&hvrand=&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584207583270198&psc=1Maybe we should start a Go Fund Me page for the cardinal so that he can afford to buy a tube of whitening toothpaste some floss and a new brush. I hate seeing someone with yellow teeth. I remember all too well when I smoked cigarettes how yellow and discolored my teeth would get between professional cleanings. Nothing worse than having someone with rotten teeth lean in close to speak to you with their breath smelling like the south end of a northbound dog.

Ditto on the dental care. I have to go for cleanings 3x yr due to periodontal disease. I also have a deep cleaning done 1x year which is just what it describes, a deep cleaning requiring being numbed with novocaine, which is done over 2 visits & it aint fun but I want to keep my teeth. I have a bridge which cost $1000 a few years ago but my dental insurance plan at worked covered it. As a side note i now use a WaterPik which i bought last year instead of flossing & my gum health has improved substantially according to my dentist. Anyone who has gum disease I highly recommend this device. It's a handheld model which doesn't take up shelf space in the bathroom & runs off 3 AA batteries. Best $50.00 i ever spent.

They should be shipped off to Africa or some third world hellhole as penance to work with the poor & administer to the sick as Mother Teresa did, though she devoted her life to it as a volunteer.

I have thought about buying a WaterPik in the past but didn't know anyone that had one and could tell me how well it worked for them. I was talked into buying a Sonicare toothbrush by my hygienist several months ago and I couldn't tolerate the high pitches sound and vibration. It was uncomfortable when the back of the brush got up against my lip or inside of my mouth. So the 50 dollar tooth brush sits in the linen closet waiting to find someone that would use it. I even bought extra brush heads for it. I bought an Oral B rechargeable brush that has a timer that tells me when I have brushed for the recommended 2 minute. I do 2 minutes on top and 2 minutes on the bottom teeth. Kathy kids me that I take more time brushing and taking care of my teeth than she does taking a shower and doing her hair. That is a bit of an exaggeration, haha. 10 minutes twice a day and I don't put my teeth in a cup at night.

They should be shipped off to Africa or some third world hellhole as penance to work with the poor & administer to the sick as Mother Teresa did, though she devoted her life to it as a volunteer. When I was doing my Deacon year at a Church in Syracuse I found I had way to much time that I needed to fill up. Naturally I had the Divine Office to say which has morning prayer, evening prayer, night prayer, office of readings and also contain the lesser hours of Sext and Tierce which are now optional for Diocesan Clergy. It does not take up that much time each day maybe two hours then daily Mass etc. Most of the work I did was in the evening and my days were open with nothing to do in the summer and a religion class to teach at the High School during the school year so you can see that leaves much spare time. I was getting nervous. So one day I decided to clean my room. Well the Pastor walked by and asked me: What are YOU doing. I said oh just cleaning don't worry. He said stop I pay a cleaning lady for that. So I stopped. Another time on the certain day of the week when bed sheets are changed I decided to make my own bed. The cleaning lady went to the Pastor and squealed on me and he comes up and stops me. Once again he pays someone to do that. Then one evening I wanted a cup of coffee. Went down to the kitchen to put coffee in the coffee maker ( which meant searching cupboards for the coffee ) the cook who also lived there ( which I didn't know ) comes out and YELLS at me STOP. All you have to do is call down and I will make the coffee for you, she said. I said oh hell all I wanted to do is do it myself. She tells the Pastor I swore at her and that causes another problem. After nine months of that nonsense I decided to leave.

Kathy yells at me if I make my own bed because even with hospital corners it somehow doesn't live up to her standards, haha. I AM allowed to make my own coffee with the Keurig. She is in charge of the stove top for every meal except breakfast. I cook our breakfast. I also do anything that goes into the air fryer oven or on the outside gas grill. She is a great cook and baker so I have no complaints. I rather like being pampered and the cuisine is wonderful.

One thing about this Waterpik is it eats batteries. Even Duracells don't last long. So I buy the cheapies from Dollar General or wherever & always have a few on hand. The other half gets her nose out of joint because once in a while I'll forget to shut it off & water will squirt all over the bathroom mirror. Something to obsess over. Lol!
