GARLIC RANCH ROASTED TURNIPS Our Garlic Ranch Roasted Turnips will have you wondering why you haven’t tried this before. I love turnips but Kathy doesn't so we don't eat them often. I like rutabagas even more. I don't know if I would substitute them for potatoes but I usually have BOTH on the table at Christmas. My dad and I were always the big rutabaga eaters and the rest of the family didn't care for them so we always had leftovers for the two of us to split.
I will have to look for rutabagas or turnips the next time I shop. I haven't had either since Christmas two years ago. Rather than slicing turnips in half, I wonder if one could slice rutabagas in slices about an inch thick and cook them the same way.
