We're supposed to get 2 to 4 here near Woodstock, upwards to 9 inches up the hill in Hunter in the mountains proper. What have you around Utica?

It rained down here in the Piedmont of NC today, so school was delayed by 2 hours. LOL! It was cold and they were afraid it might be slippery.

Right now in Utica, all we are getting of this snow storm is a light dusting. I believe we are on the edge of this storm and the bulk of the snow is below us - which includes Woodstock. For once, we are escaping what appears to be a MAJOR snow storm. Hope you have a snow blower. Stay safe and warm.

Snow?? Whazat?? Going to be in the 50's here today. I just went down to the box and got my paper in a t-shirt. Had cold and freezing rain around us in the mountains of NC and west of us in SE Kentucky last night, but only went down to 39 here. We have daffodils with blossom heads waiting to open, and crocuses popping up. Tulips won't be far behind, haha. Gee, if any of ya are a little chilly up there, I have a few sets of long underwear left, still in the packages. I really don't think I will be needing them here, hahahah heheeheh lolololol Have a great day, and stay warm. ;D

Hi Thelma, I think you're right. Maps seem to indicate you'll escape it, probably for a day or so Hi Clipper, save that long underwear for when you come back up, not to wear, but for bird netting on your blueberries.

Kim, when we first moved here from Syracuse, we were amazed at how activities, etc. stop at 3 or 4 inches of snow, even 2 or 3. Rightly so, it turns out, because they don't even send the plows out till it stops. When my wife's cousin first moved to Alabama years ago, thought the occasional light snow would keep everyone inside. Not so, he found out. Birmingham drivers simply drove through it without making allowances and produced lots of fender benders.

It's snowing pretty good here. Roads really slick. Cars going really slow. Glad I'm not going anywhere today! Went to the Farm Show in Syracuse yesterday.

Good idea Dave. I could probably cover mulitiple bushes with the size of MY longjohns haha. Stay safe and be careful blowing snow and shoveling. We aren't as young as we used to be. As I age, I am more and more aware of the neccessity to take more breaks and to not overdo it. Too many of my friends have dropped over while performing routine chores, such as chain sawing wood, and mowing their lawns.
With the 50 pounds gone, that I have lost since November, I am chomping at the bit to get warm weather so I can get outside and get active. Even though it is warmer here, it is not so warm that we are out and about doing spring yard work as of yet.
Have a good day all, and be safe and warm.

There are some CNY webcams here, too: www.cnyweather.com/Yeah, people down south don't know how to drive in the snow, that's for sure. Although, if you're down here and it does snow, and you do happen to drive into a ditch, here's what you do: stay in your car and wait for 2 guys in a pickup truck, with a 12 pack of Bud to come by. They'll tow ya outta there! ;-)

Good morn all. Just got back from a Doc's appointment and it's snowing like hell here. It's coming down pretty damn good and I fear it's going to get alot worse. Guess I'll have to get the dog sled out again. Got to run to the dentist now and then get back home before the worse gets here. Have a good day y'all. Stay warm and safe on the roads if it comes your way. You know Clipper, I'm beginning to hate people who live in warmer climates at this time of year.

Kim, nice website, I've bookmarked. I like the 24 hour past sequence. Yes, lots of 12 packers out there, especially in the snow, for some reason. Guys drive around here with plows on the truck looking to clear driveways for beer money.

Yeah Thanks Kim! If you look around 5pm or so you'll see my dogs out front on the livecam. I need to get the back cam up and going again. Can see the deer in the back yard in the evening.
