77easyrecipes.com/crockpot-pierogi-casserole-with-kielbasa/?fbclid=IwAR2F7D6Xpjp5C8TqE8yMpfcRr3h81v51qT4LdTU70YoKRJFBGDB3HDpoDQ0It looks delicious. I am going to buy the ingredients today and we will try it some day this week. It looks quite easy to prepare using the frozen perogi. We eat those fairly often anyway. Sometimes as a meal by themselves, sautéed with onions and butter, and sometimes as a side with kielbasa and Kapusta. If you like kapusta, here is the recipe that Kathy uses to make it. Kapusta recipe that Kathy uses: 4 slices of bacon, chopped an fried off. Small head of cabbage, A large sweet onion A couple of cloves of minced garlic A jar of sauerkraut Fresh cracked black pepper to taste 1 1/2 tbsp. of white sugar sprinkled as the cabbage cooks She either puts it all in the crock pot or she slowly sauté's it in a pan with the bacon grease and some butter It makes enough that I end up with left overs to enjoy the next day.

One of the Bus drivers was telling me about this but he made his with a stick of butter. He said not to be afraid of the butter. I haven't done it yet.

We haven't tried this yet, and everytime I see kielbasa in the store it reminds me that we need to give it a try. We have two more rings of Hap's kielbasa that Kathy's nephew brought us. The recipe seems a bit much for two of us, but I am sure that I will manage to eat the leftovers the next day. Last night we ended up having spaghetti with meatballs and one of the last two packages of Dino's hot sausage left from what Kathy's nephew brought us from NY. Utica supplies are getting low. Must be time to entice her nephew to visit again. My son overnighted some Freihofer's chocolate chip cookies a week or so ago. Those were a welcome treat. Does the post office make and overnight envelope big enough to slip and O'Scuinzzo's sausage and mushroom pizza? Hmmm.
