Pompeo in Saudi Arabia, Iran threatens more US drone attacks


U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was in Saudi Arabia on Monday in a hastily arranged visit amid mounting tensions between Washington and Tehran as Iran's navy chief warned Iranian forces wouldn't hesitate to shoot down more U.S. surveillance drones from their skies.



The downing of the drone, valued at more than $100 million, saw the United States pull back from the brink of a military strike on Iran after President Donald Trump last week called off strikes in retaliation.



Iran's naval commander, Rear Adm. Hossein Khanzadi, threatened Washington, saying that Tehran is capable of shooting down other American spy drones that violate Iranian airspace.



"We confidently say that the crushing response can always be repeated, and the enemy knows it," Khanzadi was quoted as saying by the semi-official Tasnim news agency during a meeting with a group of defense officials.

Trump called off retaliatory strikes out of compassion for human life in response to downing and UNMANNED aircraft. I would be willing to say that a SECOND drone downing will bring down a shit storm of widespread retaliatory missile strikes and bombing by US aircraft against their missile sites all across Iran, regardless of loss of lives.

Iran sponsored terror can only be allowed to be a festering boil on the buttocks of the world for just so long before it is no longer tolerated and is brought to a halt by all out military action. God forbid that the Iranian government should ever strike an American warship in the gulf. it will be all over if that ever happens.

Iran says the days of diplomacy are over. Diplomacy to the Iranians was nothing more than duping an American president into gifting them with a huge amount of money to be spent on further terror activity and weapons development. If it takes military action, so be it. I hate to see another conflict that takes the lives of Americans but we certainly cannot allow Iran to further develop nuclear weapons that will threaten the very well being of Saudi Arabia, Israel, and other surrounding nations. They have no intention of negotiating peace with infidels. Their ultimate goal is to impose radical Islam on others.

Let me get this straight. Trump, Bolton & that crowd are rattling their sabres because Iran is in violation of an agreement which no longer exists after Trump pulled us out of it. Trump voided it because Obama negotiated it. Nobody wants Iran to get a nuke but because of Trumps incompetence Iran may get one.

Obama never gifted Iran anything. The assets belonged to Iran in the first place before we seized them & were returned to them when the agreement was signed. Yes, Iran is a terrorist state, but so is Saudi Arabia but that didn't stop Trump who just signed an E.O. selling them weapons of mass destruction. Trump makes millions doing business with the Saudis so he doesn't give a shit what they do, including murdering journalists.
