wibx950.com/oneida-county-to-distribute-farmers-market-coupons-to-seniors/Sounds like a good deal for you PB if the coupons are not to hard to acquire. That is a short walk from your place isn't it? I love farmer's markets and farm stands. We took a ride to the Amish store again today to buy more canning spices and ball jar lids. It is a nice afternoon ride of about 40 miles each way, and it is in the middle of a local agricultural area where there are several truck farms. We didn't stop for veggies today, but stopped at Aldi's in Johnson City on the way home for strawberries that were on sale in a 16 oz package for $1.19. Strawberry cream pie in a graham cracker crust is in the refrigerator setting up to accompany an evening cup of coffee.

They do that every year. I do not know if it is the City or County or Federal Gov. who gives then but they sure do help me. Only think is that as soon as they come out the prices at the market go up a buck. Don't know why. They come in two dollar coupons. So you have to spend two dollars. But when things cost three dollars it is nice that you give them 4 dollars and they let you pick one of something else since they do not give change back. The farmers will say take one tomato or one zucchini or two apples. They sure do go fast. I am lucky in that some of the crippled people hear give me their coupons since they cannot walk over to buy stuff. Another problem is that some of those in wheel chairs or walkers who cannot walk over to get their coupons end up not getting any since no one from the County will come over hear to distribute them to those people. I do not think that is fair but I will not say anything since I do not want to get in any trouble with them. Some of those workers are down right mean.

I'm eligible because of my age but I won't take advantage. I know $20 is $20 but we're really not hurting so I don't want to deny someone a coupon who needs it more then we do especially the "crippled". Sheesh.

It also helps the farmers. Also unused money is a loss to the farmers and those who receive them. So take advantage of free government money.
