I tried this once when it was shown on the food network in connection to the peanut butter sandwich shop mentioned in the article. I used my favorite Peter Pan smooth peanut butter and Kathy's home made bread and butter pickles. It was actually quite good. The taste was unique and not something I would eat every day, or prefer over the standard PB sandwich or PBJ. If you are feeling adventurous give it a try. I only made 1/2 of a sandwich with a single slice of white bread. It tasted good enough for me to make another 1/2.

I may try it again after seeing this article, but I don't see it becoming a lunch time favorite anytime in the near future. I think that maybe it would be better suited for a Thai restaurant where there is a penchant for adding peanuts or peanut sauces to their dishes.

I had a chicken dish many years ago with a peanut better dipping sauce. Very good. Forgot where I got it from!

That chicken dish was most likely a Thai recipe. I don't know of any other ethnic group that uses as much peanut sauce and peanuts in their recipes. Jimmy Carter doesn't even eat as many peanut products as a Thai native.

Back in my college days, I was cooking dinner for myself one night. I had a hamburger frying but decided I was too hungry to wait so I made two slices of toast and covered them with peanut butter. By that time the burger was done so I put it between the toast slices and ate the combo. I liked it enough that I made it several more times that year.

Haven't had one since I got married. I don't think Barb would approve.

Hahaha. She might even have you committed. I have had peanut butter and pickles, peanut butter and bacon, and peanut butter and banana. Kathy thinks that peanut butter and bacon is a poor used of good bacon. lol
