www.msn.com/en-us/tv/celebrity/preview-alex-trebek-on-his-fight-against-pancreatic-cancer/ar-AAB9aPI?li=BBnbfcLI have been an avid fan of Jeopardy for many many years. Most evenings all other activity comes to a halt until after the program is over. Watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy is a long standing start to any evening at home in this household. I am of the opinion that it would be a huge undertaking for the network to find a replacement for Alex that would ever even begin to fill those shoes. His impeccable grooming, sophistication, and stage presence will be hard, if not impossible to replicate. In a world where television broadcasting has become so permissive as to allow the frequent use of profanity, partial nudity, and sexually suggestive bedroom scenes, it is a refreshing breath of fresh air to be able to tune in to those two programs guaranteed to offer clean and wholesome entertainment. It is but a matter of time, and probably not too far in the future that Alex Trebek will no longer be able to continue working. The diagnosis and description of his tumor leaves one pretty well assured that his days are truly numbered. I have had several friends that have died of pancreatic cancer. It is a horribly painful way to die. My prayer and hope for he and his family is that when his pain reaches unbearable levels and he is nearing his end, that palliative care is able to offer some level of comfort to ease the pain. When death from cancer becomes eminent, one can only hope for a relatively pain free and timely passing.

I feel so sorry for Alex. I knew a few people who died from this disease. Why him he does so much good...........
I forgot where but there was a man who died of colon cancer that was also a teacher and he continued teaching almost up to the end.
