www.heraldcourier.com/news/retired-engineer-creates-very-detailed-miniature-vehicles-out-of-wood/article_1e46d541-854a-5c3f-839a-8f1f5fc621fb.html I can only wish I had the amazing talent and patience of this man. I am going to call him and see if I can actually meet him and see his work in person. The intricate detail is amazing. It seems that only the mind of an engineer would be able to envision every little detail in their mind and have the skill to replicate that vision in a scaled miniature. I don't have time OR the talent for much more than crude attempts at such work. Sadly I have enough actual home improvement work, fabrication projects, and repairs to keep me busy in the shop for the near future before I will be able to just go out there and really devote any time to having fun. I still have a dozen of my simple and basic little cars and trucks that are only half painted and are awaiting the next color to be applied. The hand carving and shaping of his models is beyond time consuming and difficult. Power tools can only take such a project just so far. Delicate hand work and attention to detail, probably while working under a magnifier much of the time is the mark of only the most talented and devoted woodworking hobbyist. Models like those that he produces can take months to complete.
