SHOULD NEW YORK BE SPLIT INTO THREE SEPARATE REGIONS? A proposal to split the state of New York into three separate regions has been sent to the state Assembly. Buffalo Assemblyman David Pietro introduced a bill to split the state into three separate regions. The regions would be New Amsterdam, New York, and Montauk. For federal purposes, New York would still remain one state. But each individual region would elect its own governor legislature and judicial branch. So here's how the regions would be broken up: • New Amsterdam would be everything north of Westchester County which includes our area. • New York would consist of Bronx, Kings, New York City, Queens, and Richmond counties. • Montauk would consist of Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland, and Westchester counties. www.wktv.com/content/news/Should-New-York-be-split-into-three-separate-regions-506986431.htmlFantastic idea. Get it done now.
