Lawn and garden tip posted by my baby brother. This is only for those with a bit of room. One thing I noted. The original poster seems to be confused about the terms vertical and horizontal, but the drawings are clear.

I can't get the link to load but thus far my plan for my garden is pretty simple. 1. Rototill, 2. rake and level, 3. spread grass seed liberally, 4. Plant any veggies Kathy wants in a raised bed close to the back door so she can care for it. But then again, I was going to plant grass this spring and got the itch to plant a garden anyway.
