It was a "head shaker" to read the story about the "scuffle" after the election in Frankfort. I guess local politics is a dangerous business. Even if you win, and the OD doesn't have anything nasty to say about you, there is always the possibility that your opponent's husband will split your lips.
So much for the meek and mild mannered Irish! LOL!

Wow!
A little one-sided eh? You could never understand what happened to cause the fight?
I take it HDG is our DG?

Haha! I don't imagine that Dave is any relation. He will probably get n here with a disclaimer when he reads your post, LOL. Can you imagine an adult going off on someone that way in a public place? I wonder what the hell he thought would happen, or if he thought he would get away without being charged. Does someone need a hug, followed by a referral to an anger management clinic? Haha!

I know Frank Morraco and my first suspicion when I heard the story was that he said something to provoke the assailant. But from the story on the radio today, wittnesses say that as soon as the eleciton results were announced, he announced to those standing in hallway, including police officers, that he was going to punch the mayor in the mouth. He then charged at the mayor and did what he said he was going to do. They also reported that the injuries were "serious."

It is on the OD homepage. Something about a Frankfort Scuffle.
That Griffin can't possibly be from the same gene pool Dave. I know that your entire family tree is filled with nothing by docile redhaired angels, lolololol! I asked sister whatchamacallit!
The Griffin involved in this incident must be descended from the NY City Irish of the early days when the Italians and the Irish were fighting in the streets of Brooklyn, LOL.

That Griffin can't possibly be from the same gene pool as Dave. Actually, anything is possible in my family. When I was nine years old, I remember asking Mom about our gene pool. I had picked up the lingo from Sister Hymen Majesty in elementary science class. Mom answered by way of suggesting I say three Our Fathers, three Hail Mary's and a sincere Act of Contrition ... in advance. What are people named Conley and Griffin doing in Frankfort, anyway? I thought everyone there was Italian. I always figured all my old neighbors on Cornhill had moved to Frankfort.
