it is nice that you can now download the audio books to your own device. When I drove a truck there was a company that operated a cassette tape audio book rental/exchange. You could rent the tapes in Fultonville at the truck stop and turn them in at another truckstop in Ohio or wherever. When I drove for Walmart the drivers had a lending library of audio books. They purchased them and when they had listened to them, they donated them for others to listen to.
I listened to a few of them, but the drone of someone's voice telling the story while I was driving at night tended to make me sleepy. They did make the miles go by fast, but also could be distracting if you became engrossed in the story.
Great for listening as you do though. Not so great for someone that is driving.
Do you read E-books? I tried that for a while on my old android tablet back when Dave was still alive. He had referred to some e-book he had read on a Kindle, so I downloaded it. I do most of my reading in bed before I go to sleep at night. I could not seem to adjust the light on the screen to where it didn't strain my eyes so I have gone back to hardback books again when I am not watching something on Netflix on the Ipad. Kathy goes off to sleep and I read or watch something until I get sleepy.

There are a few speakers that can easily put you to sleep.

Yep. I have sat in church a few times when a minister or priest droned on in a monotone and people actually dropped their chins and snored. I remember my dad falling asleep in church more than once and my mom jabbing him in the ribs with her elbow. When I worked at the base we had one fairly elderly engineer in our unit who nodded off once during our morning department head staff meeting. The commander paused briefly and asked the man if he could at least pretend to be interested in the subject being discussed. I sympathized with the guy. I used to have a hard time not nodding off while the commander discussed engineering issues with the engineers. The subjects more related to MY job pertained to logistics, construction projects, and transportation planning in support of those construction projects.
