It was the brand that my parents normally used, and it was my favorite brand, rivaled only by Chanatry's store made sausage, which I still buy sometimes today while in the area on vacation. I envy those of you that still live in the area and have all those wonderful outlets for great meat. There is a real shortage of "meat markets" here. I have to drive 20 miles to Kingsport to find an old fashion, family run meat market where I can get roasts and steaks cut to order from high quality beef and pork. We are forced to buy either Johnsonville or Kroger brand Italian sausage unless I take the time to make our own, something I have not taken the time to do in quite some time. There is something lacking when I have to rely on a company whose main business is Bratwurst for Italian sausage. I will be seeking out the Avico store for some Dan Falatico's sausage the next time we are in town. We love Chanatry's sausage as well as the store made sausage from Meelan's in Clark Mills, but I am excited at the prospect of once again trying the areas old time favorite. Good luck the Dan Falatico Jr. I hope he is able to expand the business and volume and once again become a leader in providing locally made sausage products.
