www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/20-killed-in-upstate-ny-limousine-crash/ar-BBO3CpcMy prayers go out to all the families touched by this tragedy. I can only imagine the carnage there must have been at the scene with 20 people killed, as well as what must be a number of people injured. One can only imagine how quickly so many lives have been changed. The families of the dead and injured as well as those at the Apple Barrel who were there for a simple Sunday breakfast or brunch. How quickly those lives were changed or snuffed out in that split second when the crash occurred. May all those who died rest in peace.

This crash has been on every news broadcast here since it happened. National news as well as all our local news outlets have reported on it and continue to do so. It was also covered in our newspaper yesterday and today. I will be looking forward to the NTSB report. They speak of the differences and safety concerns with limos that are not factory built. Limos that are cars and SUV's that have been cut in half and stretched. One has to wonder if the braking systems are upgraded to compensate for the increase in size, weight, and passenger capacity. This accident is just such a sad thing that is so tragic for the family of the four sisters, the children of the one couple, as well as the rest of the community. This was just reported on our local news: wcyb.com/news/nation-world/family-and-friends-remember-newly-married-couple-killed-in-deadly-limo-crash.

The guy who owns the company is an FBI informant from Iraq or Afghanistan. He probably is out of the Country by now.

You are probably right PB. He was probably on a plane before the state police finished processing the scene of the accident.

Criminally negligent homicide is the charge.

www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/son-of-limo-company-owner-is-arrested-after-fatal-crash/ar-BBOcBDkThe SON of the owner has rightfully been arrested and will be charge with criminally negligent homicide. You were correct in your assumption that the owner was probably out of the country. "Daddy" Hussain is in Pakistan. He probably better stay there and hope that he can't be extradited back to face charges along side his son. I don't know if he went there before, or after the accident but sonny boy Hussain seems to be on his own. Anyone even remotely connected to the dispatching of a limo that had been declared out of service for a safety issue should be jailed. One report I was reading this morning stated that the limo company was conducting an internal investigation and was hoping that the NTSB investigation would clear them of negligence in the deaths of the 20 people killed. Good luck with that one. It doesn't look good for them. I also read a report that the limo, or one just like it, owned by the same company was offered for a mere $9000 on Craig's List. Sort of hints that there is SOMETHING amiss when a large and expensive vehicle is offered for such a low price. Sadly I think that when all is said and done they will find that there was a serious safety issue with the vehicle and a failure of the brakes or something that caused the crash. The report also said that the driver had previously been ticketed for driving without proper passenger endorsement on his license. Getting that endorsement is a pretty simple process, especially for someone like the limo driver that was previously a tractor trailer driver. I entails taking a short written test and a road test with a passenger vehicle in the class you intend to drive, whether it be a bus, a taxicab, or a limo. There is a different mindset, a heightened sense of caution, and the extreme awareness that you are transporting a human cargo and not a trailer loaded with boxes or pallets. It is a responsibility that should be foremost in a driver's mind whenever he climbs behind the wheel of a vehicle carrying passengers. Sad and tragic for all the victims and their families and friends. SOMEONE needs to be responsible and needs to pay steeply for their negligence.

www.wktv.com/content/news/State-police-arrest-limousine-company-operator-496638711.htmlHe had bags packed and in the car when arrested. He said he had received threats and did not feel safe in his home. My question would be whether his luggage was packed to find a safe motel somewhere or was he planning on flying out of the country, possibly to Pakistan. He probably was NOT safe in his home. With an entire community upended by a tragedy that he is allegedly directly responsible for, he quite possibly WAS in danger of some one meting out some vigilante justice. He is probably safer and better off in jail.

The latest reports of the disgusting and sketchy history of the limo owner's business and personal activities leading up to and culminating in the tragic Schoharie accident. www.timesunion.com/local/article/As-a-community-mourns-limo-owner-s-story-emerges-13305191.php?cmpid=fbsocialflowOne would hope that this tragedy will result in imprisonment for both he and his son. I could not understand how he had built such a business history when he actually entered the country illegally, crossing the border into the US at El Paso Tx. Just one more example of why we need to secure our borders.
