Who is getting up at 5AM Saturday besides me to watch the royal wedding. I love Princess Diana (she will always be the only Princess to me) Harry was my favorite so I hope he finally found his Happiness and it lasts. Time will tell.

The last Royal function I watched was Queen Elizabeth's coronation in 1953 (in black-and-white, of course), and Royalty and I don't seem to be on the same page. Royalty, like politicians, travel on roads where I'll never tread.
However, I wish the Royal Couple a long and happy marriage, and hope some day they'll be partially responsible for straightening out the mixed-up world we're living in now.

I will also be watching chris. I have to make something special for that day and maybe even have a pint or two or three or four. For breakfast I will make English Breakfast Frittata. Ingredients 2 outdoor-bred pork sausages 1 tbsp sunflower oil 3 smoked back bacon rashers fat trimmed cut into cubes 75 g button mushrooms sliced 62.5 g pkt pomodorino tomatoes halved 4 large British free-range eggs 12.5 g bunch fresh chives snipped Method 1 Squeeze the sausages out of their skins, and roll the sausagemeat* into 12 bite-size balls. 2 Heat ½ tablespoon of the oil in a 20cm ovenproof frying pan. Add the sausage and fry all over for 1 minute, until browned and cooked through. Add the bacon and mushrooms and fry for a few minutes, until golden. Add the tomatoes for a further minute. Remove the mixture and set aside. Discard excess fat from the pan. 3 Whisk together the eggs and chives and season with freshly ground black pepper. Stir in 2/3 of the fried sausage mix. Preheat the grill to medium. 4 Heat the remaining oil in the frying pan over a medium heat. Add the egg mixture, tipping the pan so that it covers the base. Turn down the heat and scatter over the remaining sausage mixture. Cook for 8 minutes, or until almost set. 5 Place under a preheated grill, for 2-3 minutes, until the frittata is set and golden. Let cool slightly, then slide out of the pan, cut into wedges and serve.

I wouldn't get up at 5AM unless I happened to wet the bed. I hold Harry and William in the highest regard and loved Princess Diana but all that Royal pomp and endless ceremonial bull crap is not something I would get up early to watch for hours.

What a beautifully loving wedding ceremony for such a beautiful and loving wedded couple. I hope the entire world can hear the Bishop's homily and more importantly live by those words.

"I wouldn't get up at 5AM unless I happened to wet the bed"
I hear ya, Clipper, but HEY...I have a suggestion. Might be a good idea to get up just before you wet the bed. It works for me (most of the time).

Really did not have to get up early since NBC re-ran the entire wedding at 10AM. Hoda talks to much. At least she kept quiet that hour.

I heard ya Kit. Yes, it seems to work well for me too, so far. lol PB I got up at 8 and tuned to the today show and watched it on and off while browsing and reading the news on the computer. Hoda does talk a lot but then again, the show would be rather boring is she and Kathy Lee just sat there and stared at each other, lol. Kathy Lee talks just about as much, and the biggest difference in my humble opinion, is that Kathy Lee talks mostly about herself and spends too much time blowing her own horn. I normally only half listen and focus on the news segments and weather, but I DO get a kick out of Jenna Bush Hager. She is a bit ditsy but cute and bubbly. Kathy watches the 10 o'clock hour faithfully every day, and then switches channels and watches The Price Is Right. She watched almost the entire 10 o'clock rerun of the ceremony and procession.

The only thing I didn't like about the wedding was the Bishop's speech......it went on and on and on and on. He turned his 15 min into an hour. The other was the song Stand By Me. I just didn't think it was a song for a wedding especially this one. My favorite moment Princess Charlotte waving to the crowd.

The Queen reacted rather coldly with a shiver during one part of the Bishop's speech.

And what about Duchess Camilla's hat. Looked like she stole someone's ceiling insulation.

I can't believe that Charles divorced Diana in order to marry Camilla. Put them side by side and it is like parking a shiny corvette next to a wrecked and rusty four door sedan. I am sorry but Camilla is homely as a hedge fence, but then again, Charles is not exactly another George Clooney or Tom Cruise.
William and Harry at least chose wives by following their hearts instead of the stuffy and snobbish royal protocol. They both look so happy, and both Kate and Meghan are beautiful and down to earth.

Yes but I remember Charles mentioning in a note to his Camilla how he could not wait to get into her panties! Sound better in an English accent. Camilla how I long to get into your panties.
