www.uticaod.com/news/x244768203/Pylman-not-present-at-sentencingThis is puzzling. So I wonder if we will ever know the real deal. After going through the trial why would Pylman not be there. There almost seems like there is no excuse for his absents, nothing that could not be rescheduled. Pylman new in advance when the sentencing would be. I will play devils advocate and wonder if City Officials ordered him not to be there and that was part of the buy out agreement for Pylman. Very disturbing either way!

Ya know Todd, after rubbing elbows with all these folks at one time, I don't think I ever want to know the answer to that question.

Didn't Roefaro originally begin the investigation into Pylman?
Why did Pylman all of a sudden decide to retire?
If in fact Pylman did retire I would bet he would have been present at the sentencing.
Since he wasn't doesn't it open the question: Was he told not to attend? Was he not there out of anger for Roefaro and or LaBella.
If he did in fact retire why would he choose a retirement package that reflected his contract with the city up to May 2019 when it expires? Why didn't he get a lawyer to represent him in this regard? Pylman was shafted.

The OD editorial says that the $250,000 payment for comp time doesn't make sense.
Like Judge Judy always says: "If it doesn't make sense, it's probably not true."
What makes more sense is that it's the price it took for Pylman to walk away from the job quietly.

An excellent point. I am sure that there is much more to this story than any of us will ever know.

Yes, there is much more to the story than most will know or ever find out. Let's just say that none of it is/was/or ever has been all that is was purported to be.

Ralph, that sounds very mysterious. Can you elaborate in any way? (and "no" is a perfectly acceptable response -- no pressure here)

Not "here" anyways, and nothing I have witnessed myself.
Just a lot of stories that have been passed along to me. But all of it very reliable to my knowledge.

C'mon Ralph,
That is like a cliff hanger with no sequel. There has to be something in the rules about this behavior haha.
