www.wktv.com/news/national/18008259.htmlIn today's day and age how can this still happen? This information seem easier to get than stealing a screw driver out of the hardware store. He deserves Death or to be deported out of our country and never be allowed to return or visit. He has given some very serious information to our enemy's that could result in catastrophic consequences to the US.

... he slipped classified documents ... to an employee of the Israeli Consulate. Prosecutors say it was the same consulate employee who received information from convicted Pentagon spy Jonathan Pollard."
I was surprised by that statement. I know the consulate employee can't be prosecuted because of diplomatic immunity, theoretically, but usually such a criminal is recalled, n'est-ce pas? Or at the very least, hounded by local police until he voluntarily leaves.

What I do not get is that we give Israel all this stuff so why do they need to steal it? As far as getting rid of him don't forget covert actions.

Yeah, makes you wonder. Well, I'm sure the US generals don't want to give everything away, so there's probably something left to steal. It's no doubt a matter of bargaining power. If you have something I really want, I might be willing to comply with 5 of your wishes. If I steal some of the something I want from you, then I don't need as much from you now and only need comply with 3 wishes. Modern diplomacy.

I was just going to say the same thing. I'm sure the U.S. keeps enough to keep an edge over Israel so that Israel is kept in check and is always dependent upon us for further support.

Maybe it's time we stopped catering to them and stopped support altogether.
I have personally been fed up for a long time with supporting, helping, policing, babying, feeding and generally mollycoddling all these countries.....and then when we request something on bended knee are told in no uncertain terms to "stuff it".
Cut the damn purse strings and food chain from them and see how quick they come around to our way of thinking.
And if not...................well, I am sure we can find better use for all that support right here on our own soil.

If I ever ran for president and actually won, that would be the first thing I did. Any country holding anti-American attitudes would lose all aid and support. We would withdraw any military support too. Of course then they would bitch about how we are trying to control their free speech by doing this, but the Constitution does not apply to them, thankfully. And I would simply say, I'm not, I'm just not going to assist a country that clearly does not need or want our assistance.
I know it's a return to the Roosevelt Corollary sotospeak, but with the dire straits our country is in, I think it's high tide to focus on our own for a change!

Ralph, Swimmy. Realpolitik says otherwise. Israel is strategically placed in the middle east to be useful to our interests. Yes, they exact quite a toll. Not to worry, though, pretty soon we'll have our own country over there, Iran. Iraq is not working out, but Iran will be just perfect when we take it over. The Iraqis are incorrigibly primitive and demented, not to mention vengeful. They couldn't pull together a united country if you gave them a million gallons of super glue. Iranians are modern and will easily get with the program. They want their Ipods.

Hahahaha! Did I miss something? I did not realize we were going to make a satellite country in the mid-east. When did that memo get sent out?

Got to! To save our oil. And it IS out oil, after all. WE made it valuable. Every time I start my Hummer in the morning for the 75 mile commute into downtown L.A., I'm making it even more valuable. If it weren't for the internal combustion engine, mid eastern peoples would be using their oil as a substitute for camel dung to cook their goat meat and light their tents.
